Wedding Photographer Consultation
Scenario Based Learning Experience
Welcome to my first adventure in eLearning! This project is all about helping wedding photography consultants elevate their client interactions through a series of immersive, real-life scenarios. Imagine stepping into a virtual world where you can practice your skills in a safe, engaging environment.
The Challenge
Arizona Wedding Photographers, the talented team behind Villa Tuscana’s in-house photography, noticed a troubling trend: positive client feedback had been slipping over the past six months. Post-wedding evaluations pointed to a crucial issue—consultants needed a boost in their active listening skills
The Solution
Enter my innovative eLearning solution. After conducting a thorough analysis, I identified the root cause and proposed a scenario-based learning experience. This interactive course allows sales associates to hone their question-asking and listening skills before they ever meet a real client.

My Process
Using the ADDIE framework, I meticulously crafted every element of this training. The journey started with creating an action map, followed by drafting a storyboard, designing eye-catching visual mockups, and building an interactive prototype.
Drawing from Smith & Ragan’s analysis method and leveraging my own experiences as a wedding photography consultant, I stepped into the role of subject matter expert (SME). With a clear goal in mind, I applied backward design principles to develop precise learning objectives that would guide learners to success.
I established clear, measurable objectives to ensure the training program's effectiveness. Reflecting on my personal experiences, I pinpointed the critical behaviors and tasks learners needed to master.
Creating an action map was a pivotal moment. It provided a visual roadmap, allowing me to see the entire process at a glance and organize it seamlessly. For a detail-oriented person like me, this step was essential in bringing order and perspective to the project.
Creating a visual helps me zoom out and see the bigger picture in my creative process. Being the detailed oriented person that I am, creating an action map puts each of the components into sequential order and put the tasks and behaviors into perspective.
Text-Based Storyboard
Next came the text-based storyboard, which served as the blueprint for the digital design. This stage laid out how the content would flow, ensuring a cohesive and engaging learning journey. Here is a little of my text-based storyboard for this project:

Mock Ups
Designing the mockups was where the magic happened. I unleashed my creativity, transforming the storyboard into a vibrant visual experience. Using Adobe XD, I crafted a detailed visual storyboard that truly brought the module to life.
Storyline 360
Finally, I brought it all together in Storyline 360, incorporating interactive elements like markers, voiceovers, and quizzes. These features ensured that the learning experience was not only informative but also immersive and fun.
This project was a delightful blend of creativity and strategy, highlighting the power of good design and effective communication. I’m thrilled to share this module with you and hope it inspires as much enthusiasm in you as it did in me during its creation!
