Prompt Engineering: Harness the Power of AI

I had the exciting task of designing a professional development session for the ASU community, focusing on support for prompt engineering. Collaborating with subject matter experts, I created a webinar-style workshop that was both informative and engaging.

In developing the slide deck, I applied Mayer’s Principles of Multimedia and Cognitive Load Theory to ensure the content was accessible and effective. Key information was highlighted to signal its importance to the learners, making the material clear and easy to follow.

To make the webinar interactive and fun, I included a Mad Lib-style activity where participants used a prompt template to create their own haikus. The responses were not only funny and insightful but also underscored the essential aspects of crafting engaging prompts for ChatGPT.
